Contact status

Our contacts can be separated into 2 statuses:

  • customers - a contact added to the platform via external forms, add contact option in the dashboard, CSV imports, API, or other 3rd party integrations.

  • leads - ca contact received from a lead-capturing form, online widgets, referral campaigns, or a survey.

We define a customer as someone who has previously made a purchase from your business and a lead as some who has not, but may be interested.

To check a contact status go to the ‘Contacts’ tab from your dashboard. Under the ‘Contacts’ section, you can see the status of each of your contacts.

Contact audiences

Contact audiences allow you to divide your contacts into audiences based on a similar attribute. All your audiences are located in the ‘Audiences’ section. Audiences require manual addition and removal of contacts.

Contact segments

A Segment is an organized list of contacts automatically generated by a set of conditions. Contacts get added to segments automatically once they meet segment selection criteria.

The system-generated segments are:

  • All leads - contains all the contacts received from a lead-capturing form, online widgets, referral campaigns, or a survey.

  • All Customers - contains all contacts added to the platform via external forms, add contact option in the dashboard, CSV imports, API, or other 3rd party integrations.

  • All Contacts - contains all customers and all leads grouped together.

Contact tags

Tags are used to group a set of contacts by a similar attribute based on what is essential for the business to know. Tags allow you to create more targeted campaigns and sort your contacts for more effective automation.

For example, you can indicate that the contact is a premium customer who has spent over $1000 or create a tag for everyone who has purchased a specific product.

You can find Tags if you go to the ‘Contacts’ tab from your dashboard -> ‘Tags’.
